Russia invested US$29 million in Harbin

Up to now, 33 Russian-funded enterprises have been founded in Harbin. Total investment amounted to US$29.18 million and registered capital was US$28.27 million. There was only one Russian-funded enterprise in Harbin in 1980s, 13 newly added in 1990s and 19 added after 2000. The number of Russian-funded enterprises in form of Sino-foreign cooperative venture, sino-foreign equity venture and wholly-foreign owned enterprises grew quickly. At present, out of 33 Russian-funded enterprises there are 16 in manufacturing industry, 6 in catering industry, building and engineering, 3 in high-tech, 2 in consultation and 2 in whole sale and retail.
